Product Overview:
A single handmade blooming tea flower ball in hygienic packaging. A mix of green tea leaves and Globe Amaranth (Qian Ri Hong or 'thousand day red flower') bound together into a ball which opens when hot water is added to create a fresh, smooth green tea.
To brew:
Boil water, pour into tea pot or cup and WAIT around 30 seconds for the water temperature to drop to just below 80C. This will reduce the amount of bitter tannins released. Then place a flower tea in and watch the flower slowly open! You can make up to 1 litre of tea from one ball - so if you are making tea just for yourself then once the first cup is drunk please top it up with more hot water.
Health benefits:
Globe Amaranth is used in Chinese medicine to relieve coughs, asthma and bronchitis.
